Leave a Legacy of Life and Love
For almost five decades, Aid for Women has been a refuge for women in Illinois who are troubled by an unexpected pregnancy—offering compassionate care, life-affirming options, and support that lasts well beyond birth. Through our maternity homes, medical services, and mentorship, we walk alongside each woman, empowering her to choose life and build a hopeful future for herself and her child.
You can be part of this life-saving mission in a profound and lasting way by including Aid for Women in your estate plans.
Your legacy gift helps ensure that future generations of women in crisis can find real help and hope, free from pressure or judgment. With your partnership, we can continue to help expectant mothers through challenging times with professional, trusted assistance so they do not have to consider an abortion.

Endowment and socially responsible investing
In 2015, Dr. Carl Johnson established an endowment fund in memory of his late wife, Margot Johnson, and in honor of his dear friend, Mary Anne Goldberg. Aid for Women’s goal is to continue to help the fund grow to continue our life-saving work for generations to come.
Donors should know that Aid for Women’s endowment is invested in a manner consistent with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) Socially Responsible Investment Guidelines based on two main principles – avoid evil and do good.
To bring the Light of Christ to the world of investing, the USCCB offers three general principles to bear in mind:
- Investors must avoid participating in evil activities
- Investors must be actively engaged in shareholder voting
- Investors must work to change corporate policies for the better
Specifically, our investment portfolio:
- Protects human life
- Promotes human dignity
- Reduces arms production
- Pursues economic justice
- Protects the environment
- Encourages corporate responsibility

Our Mission
