Volunteers have been vital to the work of Aid for Women since it was established in 1978. Some offer their time and talents as board members and advisors who collaborate on big-picture issues and ensure the long-term viability of the organization. Others use their warmth and expertise to plan important events and invite more members of the public to join in our life-saving work. Many more have provided backing as part of faith communities, neighborhood groups, families and friends who want to work together on one of our key fundraising initiatives. Still others give of themselves individually, supporting staff and clients in our pregnancy care centers and maternity homes, or quietly donating critical items that sustain our Baby Boutiques. For almost fifty years, these selfless women and men, adults and children have come from all walks of life, yet they have shared the same simple desire: to do what they can to affirm vulnerable mothers and celebrate the beauty, and potential of every unborn baby. In this season of Thanksgiving, we salute all Aid for Women volunteers! We hope you know the powerful impact you are making, furthering our mission across Illinois and spreading goodness in the world.
