“A Great Event, Leaving Great Momentum”

At Aid for Women’s 2026 Benefit Dinner this week at the Union League Club of Chicago, Thomas Brejcha, Founder, President, and Chief Counsel of the Thomas More Society received Aid for Women’s 2026 Praesidium Vitae Award for his selfless career defending life, faith, families and freedom in federal and state courts over the past 45 years.

In his powerful acceptance speech, Tom said, “We’ve had some success arguing the truth in cases all across the country. Even when we meet trouble we don’t give up. We stay the course, and I think that’s a fitting metaphor for the entire pro-life movement. We’re going to prevail.”

Dr. Robert Lawler, MD., Aid for Women’s Medical Director gave a stirring pre-event talk about the dangers and stark realities of the Abortion Pill that is now responsible for nearly 70% of abortions in the U.S. Elizabeth Westhoff served as our charming emcee. Keynote Speaker Ben Domenech shared a moving discourse in support of Aid for Women while encouraging all Americans to become more informed, and more outspoken about the importance of the pro-life cause. In addition, Aid for Women leaders were grateful for the opportunity to publicly thank the hundreds of donors and volunteers present who continue to make our work possible.

One attendee said, “It was a great event, leaving great momentum.” Visit VOLUNTEER and DONATE on this website to learn more.
